Tom Goff and Richard Brown are representing Blandford Bloodstock Limited during the 2008 bloodstock sales season and very much look forward to seeing their clients and friends in Europe and the USA. TOM GOFF Tom Goff formed Blandford Bloodstock in 2001 with the much-respected Joss Collins, who died in February 2004. Tom has purchased numerous top-class performers, including several that have proved exceptional value. Dutch Art was knocked down for 16,000gns at Doncaster St Leger Yearling Sale before becoming a dual Group 1 winner. Other equine stars that Goff has signed for include Winker Watson, Dancer’s Daughter Zooming Zellie. A former assistant to the late Dick Hern, Goff assists with all aspects of the bloodstock industry such as yearling and breeze-up purchases as well as the acquisition of horses in training for the domestic and overseas markets. He also deals in stallion and breeding stock management for a variety of large and small concerns. Goff is also able to help with the establishment and management of syndicates and partnerships, while there is Blandford Bloodstock's own Byculla Thoroughbreds - a successful and enjoyable Flat Racing syndicate.
RICHARD BROWN Richard Brown joined Blandford Bloodstock in 2001 having spent five years working with stallions and breeding stock at Furnace Mill and Snailwell Studs in the UK, Darby Dan Farm in the USA and Windsor Park Stud in New Zealand. He specialises in the acquisition of yearlings and foals for pinhooking or racing. Some of his notable purchases include Grade 2 and Grade 3 winner Massuse, Moudez and Western Art - both Listed scorers - as well Raymi Coya, successful in the 2007 Oh So Sharp Stakes and a Classic prospect for 2008. Brown also concentrates on the purchase and management of broodmares and stallions for both large and small breeders.
STUART BOMAN Born in Sydney but based in Newmarket, England, 30-year-old Boman was formerly a practicing lawyer in Australia. He was previously Head of Marketing in Europe for Sheikh Mohammed’s Darley Stud after spending two years working for top Australian breeder John Messara at his Arrowfield Stud in New South Wales, home of champion sire Redoute’s Choice.
