The team spent 875,000gns in total resulting in them being the third leading buyers at the auction with only Shadwell Estates and Rabbah Bloodstock above them.

Among the lots knocked down to Blandford was lot 781, a colt by first-season sire, Shirocco for 125,000gns. This strapping bay colt comes from the family of Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winner Summoner and Compton Admiral.

Blandford also paid 110,000gns for a Motivator colt out of a Kingmambo mare. This was among the leading lots on Tuesday and Blandford had to fight off a number of rivals to successfully acquire this good looking colt.

Lot 756, an Iffraaj colt, was bought for 62,000gns and lot 1255 a filly by the sire of Dar Re Mi, Singspiel, made 68,000gns with Blandford holding sway.
