Blandford second top buyer of foals

BLANDFORD Bloodstock finished second in the list of leading buyers of foals at last week’s Tattersalls December Foal Sale where they purchased 17 youngsters for a total of 1,138,000gns.

Blandford’s most expensive buy was a filly by top stallion Oasis Dream (lot 944) who cost 300,000gns. This racy filly is out of a winning Selkirk mare who is an own sister to champion Sulk and a half-sister to Group 1 winner Eagle Mountain.

Teofilo has made a good start to his stallion career and Blandford went to 150,000gns to secure a colt by the champion juvenile (lot 824). His dam was Listed placed and comes from the family of High And Low and American Post.

Another purchase that takes the eye is lot 721 a colt by Invincible Spirit. This attractive individual is a half-brother to Group 2 winner Infamous Angel from the family of Libertine. He cost 92,000gns.
