A busy week at Tattersalls Mare Sale
BLANDFORD Bloodstock were among the leading buyers of mares at Tattersalls this week.
They purchased 17 lots including Mary Boleyn (lot 1706) a Listed-winning daughter of King’s Best in foal to top-sire Dubawi. She cost 310,000gns and comes from the family of Zafeen and Atlantic Sport.
Anne Of Kiev (lot 1783) was knocked down to Blandford for 110,000gns. A dual Listed-winning daughter of Oasis Dream she is related to a number of decent sorts including Blessed Event and Sacrament.
Blanford purchased another Listed winner in Fictional Account (lot2079) for 90,000. This daughter of Stravinsky is half-brother to four winners from the family of Simple Exchange and Sights on Gold.
Blandford could have picked up a bargain lot 1841 Gilt. This daughter of Bernardini cost 75,000gns but comes from an extremely good family which includes Exchange Rate, Sterling Pound and Sabre d’Argent.
