Blandford busy at Deauville

FRANCE’S premier yearling sale was staged at Arqana in Deauville this week and Blandford Bloodstock were among the leading buyers with six lots purchased.

Blandford went to €300,000 for a lovely filly by Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Raven’s Pass. She is out of Lady Elgar who has already produced Grade 1 winner Grand Couturier and Listed winners Yaqeen and Alainmaar.

Another interesting buy was lot 238, a colt by Danehill Dancer. Blandford paid only €57,000 but he is out of a Stakes winner in Croisiere and comes from the family of Music Show and Stunning.

Holy Roman Emperor continues to make a good impression at stud and Blandford went to €150,000 for a colt by the Group 1 winning juvenile.
This grey colt is out of a Linamix mare in Rosamixa who is an own sister to the top-class Rajsaman.
