Blandford purchase produces Classic star

BLUE Bunting’s success in the 1000 Guineas last Sunday left many with a warm glow of satisfaction – including Blandford Bloodstock’s Richard Brown.

The agent bought Miarixa, dam of the Classic heroine winner, at the 2004 Tattersalls December Sales. The daughter of Linamix was knocked to Brown for 55,000gns.

Miarixa was unraced but is a full-sister to Stakes performer Mister Kick and a half sister to the useful Marque Royale.

Being by Dynaformer, Blue Bunting is bred to go further and will be targeted at the second fillies’ Classic of the year, the Investec Oaks.
