Tom starts charity walk tomorrow!

BLOODSTOCK agent Tom Goff will commence his Cheltenham to Newmarket charity walk at 8.30am on Monday 21st March.

Goff, chairman of Newmarket-based consultancy Blandford Bloodstock, is all set to undertake the 140-mile journey on behalf of three organisations – EACH (East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices), Racing Welfare and Save Historic Newmarket.

His eight-stage trek begins at Cheltenham Racecourse at 8am. He will be partnered on the first leg to Chipping Camden by several friends, including trainer Paul Webber.

Goff will also be in good company on the last part of his walk. Trainer John Gosden and rising star of the weighing room William Buick will be among those striding up to the winning post on Newmarket’s Rowley Mile Racecourse on Monday, 28th March at 10.30am.

Goff, purchaser of the likes of Group 1 stars Dutch Art, Arctic Cosmos and Dancer’s Daughter, said: “I can report that training seems to have gone well. Put it this way, I’m not short of work and if I was a horse, you would definitely have to run me!

“I’m very grateful to those people who have already sponsored me. And I would also like to thank those people who have agreed to join me on the walk. Let’s hope none of us are forced to pull up lame!”
