Dream joint top 2yo in World Rankings
DREAM Ahead has been assessed as joint leading juvenile of 2010 in the World Thoroughbred Rankings, published this week.
The ratings are an annual league table of horses rated 115 and above and Blandford purchase Dream Ahead shared top billing with Frankel.
Blandford signed the ticket for the son of Diktat for just £36,000 at the Doncaster Breeze-up sales and he went on to win three times, including twice in Group 1 company.
Owned by Khalifa Dasmal and trained by David Simcock, Dream Ahead and Frankel have been afforded a figure of 126, six higher than the third placed pair of Pathfork and Wootom Bassett.
Another Blandford buy to feature high on the classifications was Arctic Cosmos.
The St Leger winner took spot in the ’extended’ category for horses judged on their form over upwards of 13.5furlongs. The John Gosden-trained colt achieved a figure of 120.
