Blandford successful at Book 2
BLANDFORD Bloodstock enjoyed another successful sale at Tattersalls Book 2 this week.
The team of Tom Goff and Richard Brown signed for 22 lots for an average of just over 30,000gns.
The most expensive lot purchased was 1467, a filly by Nayef for 100,000gns. She is a half sister to the useful Space War from the family of Kingsgate Prince.
Blandford had to go to 85,000gns to secure a daughter of Oasis Dream (1555). She impressed at Park Paddocks as a racy individual from a good family.
There were very few lots by Galileo in the sale but Blandford managed to get their hands on one for 90,000gns. Lot 1915 was a son of the top stallion who comes from a very successful American family.
Teofilo looks to be a freshman sire to watch out for and perhaps the bargain of the week was lot 868. This daughter of the Dewhurst Stakes winner looked a real runner and is related to a number of Stakes performers.
She was knocked down for 30,000gns and hopefully will prove value at the price.
