Blandford among leading buyers at Breeze-ups
BLANDFORD Bloodstock were among the leading buyers at the Craven Breeze-up sale held at Tattersalls this week.
They signed the docket for 11 lots with an average of 78,182 guineas being spenton each purchase.
The highest priced two-year old to be knocked down to one of the Blandford team was lot 81, a strapping bay colt by Monsun out of Foolish Act who made 180,000 guineas.
He hails from the family of top-class stayer Rule Of Law and was consigned by Mocklershill in Ireland.
Another notable purchase was lot 141, a racy son of Iffraaj who breezed exceptionally well.
The colt’s mother Dance Clear was a multiple winner in both Ireland and America and was stakes placed in both countries.
She has already produced three winners from four runners and hopefully the Oak Tree Farm-consigned horse will further enhance the family’s reputation.
Lot 144, a daughter of Anabaa Blue and a half sister to Group 3 winner Triple Aspect, from Hawthorn Villa Stud was knocked down to Blandford for 160,000gns
